Square2Square – Car Free Sundays:  www.square2square.ca
We are proud to invite you to participate in a pilot event between the City of Kitchener and the City of Waterloo:  Square2Square – Car Free Sundays.  The purpose is to create people friendly street space which allows people the opportunity to walk, bike, rollerblade, skateboard, hop, skip or run from Civic Square in Kitchener to Waterloo Public Square.

The Square2Square – Car Free Sundays vision is to help create communities where active transportation is safe, fun and inviting to encourage a healthy, active community.

In Kitchener, Square2Square will begin on Sunday, July 17th.  In Waterloo, the festivities will begin on Sunday, June 19th.  Live entertainment will be featured in the two city squares as well as on King Street from Civic Square to Victoria Street and along King Street between Victoria and Union Streets.

Free events and music will be held at both city squares while activities such as street scrabble, running tips, bike safety workshops, music and sidewalk art will create a lively, fun atmosphere along King Street.
